We are a group of concerned parents, educators, students, and patrons who are committed to changing the current divisive school board leadership of the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township to one of an effective team who will work with a positive attitude for the good of the whole community.
The current board majority has clearly demonstrated a lack of concern for students, teachers, administration, and community. They have been a source of embarrassment whose actions have damaged our property values. Their ongoing disregard for their own By-Laws, and their flippant disregard of spending taxpayers' dollars must be opposed in an effort to bring this community back together. Our educational system and the manner in which it operates must change for the betterment of our students and our community.
It is essential that the newly elected board create an atmosphere of mutual respect in which all viewpoints are valued and given thoughtful consideration. We urge you to vote
for Mercer, Mertz, & Freeman on May 6, 2008 in the Indiana Primary Election.
